ASURE Scenic Route Motor Lodge is the most centrally located motel in Geraldine, being on the main street and adjacent to shopping centre including cafes and restaurants. The village of Geraldine is set on the popular Southern Scenic Route from Christchurch to Queenstown. Being 90 minutes drive from Christchurch it is an ideal stopover as you take in the Rakaia Gorge and Mt Hutt skifield. Use Geraldine as a base to explore Tekapo, Aoraki/Mt Cook and Timaru & Peel Forest. Geraldine village provides a central base for exploring South Canterbury.

Geraldine's newest motel complex and only 4 Star independently audited motel accommodation. Our motor lodge accommodation offers 14 modern, spacious studio units all with air conditioning heat pumps, 3 have spa baths and three 2-bedroom units. Our quiet self contained units are serviced daily and include: kitchen facilities, ensuite bathrooms, King or twin bedding, Sky TV and 1.5GB free Wifi internet.

ASURE Scenic Route Motor Lodge, are proud to support our beautiful region. Below are some of the efforts you may notice:

  • Low-energy light bulbs are installed in at least 80% of the premises.

  • Energy-efficient timers on our exterior road-sign.

  • We reduce the amount of waste going to landfill by separating it for recycling.

  • We use only biodegradable and non-toxic ‘Green’ cleaning and laundry products.

  • We buy our products from local sources, which, both supports employment in our community and reduces the distance our goods must travel to reach us.

  • We donate supplementary products and excess bedding and furniture to local community service groups.

  • We train our staff to commit to our environmental practices.

  • We are actively involved in sponsorship in our local community by sponsoring local groups.

  • We are proud to support Forest and Bird New Zealand.

We trust you are enjoying our fantastic town and hope you will help us reduce our impact it by considering the following things:

  1. We and our staff always endeavour to turn off lights or equipment when not needed, or when we leave a room. You may wish to do the same.

  2. We and our staff turn off taps, when we are not directly using water. You are welcome to do the same.

  3. We and our staff offer you recycling options which are located at the entrance to the Guest Laundry.  Please wash out these containers before putting them in our recycling bins.

Didymo and other aquatic pests could squeeze the life out of our country’s most precious rivers and lakes. You can help to protect your favourite waterways if you always Check, Clean, Dry any gear that comes into contact with the water, between every waterway, every time.
